Paleo Banana Bread

If you are into the Paleo thing, this may work for you, or if you aren't down with Gluten, that nasty rascal.

Preheat oven to 350

In some sort of mixing device (Vitamix, stand mixer, manual labor, etc) combine and mix well.  It should be uniform and not clumpy.

  • 3 ripe bananas (if mixing by hand, might want to mash first)
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted (or coconut oil)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, combine below dry ingredients and make sure all clumps are out.
  • 1 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Stir dry ingredients into mixing bowl with wet.  Don't beat here, just mix well with a spatula or such.

At this point you can add some walnuts into the mix and gently fold them in.

Also, this isnt too sweet, so if you need more sweetness, add a appropriate amount of sweetener.  If cane sugar, perhaps a few tbsp.

Grease bread pan, pour in batter, bake for 45 mins or so.  I would start checking with a toothpick after 35 mins.  Once the toothpick comes out clean, you should take out and set to cool.

Now, when serving, slice it up, throw on some form of butter and enjoy.

Mrs DD to smalls (asking him in order to show me what he learned): Why do people do bad things?

Smalls: Sin!

Me: That's right son

Smalls: Sin is not doing what your parents say.

Me: Well, not quite. Sin is doing something that God doesn't want us to do.

Smalls: Yeah! Like cooking someone's ears!

Me: Uuuhhhh, yeah, I guess so

Removing Your Location from Facebook

Time and time again, Facebook has introduced new "features" without notifying its users.  And they go by an automatic opt-in policy, meaning that you have to opt-out rather than opt-in to the new "feature". The problem is that they don't let you know they are doing this, so there isn'y even an up front opt-out, you usually have to go digging through the settings once you find out something is happening.

Today, as I posted a new status, I realized that it posted the city I was in while posting....not cool Zuckerberg!  So, if you want to turn this off, here is how:

How to Manage All Those Passwords

With the growth of the Internet and all the services on the web that we use, we all end up having a long list of usernames and passwords that we have to keep up with.  So how in the world can we possibly keep up with all of these accounts?  This is how most people do it:

Download and Install LastPass

This post is a tutorial on downloading and installing LastPass that goes along with my post on How to Manage All Those Passwords.  This will be dry and technical, but hopefully easy to follow.  Note that all the photos are numbered and that corresponds with the steps typed above said photo.

Lets Begin.
